JCI Tobago
Junior Chamber International (JCI), formerly known as ‘Jaycees’, is a global network which is making impact in over 100 countries ignited its fire in the Caribbean through the establishment of JCI Port of Spain in 1949.
JCI Tobago was renowned in the 1970’s and 1980’s as great debaters and a group of organised youths who possessed the skills to execute projects in a distinguished manner. In 2011, the fire in JCI Tobago was rekindled and the chapter was officially chartered in 2013 at the 53rd JCI West Indies National Convention. Since then members of JCI Tobago have been executing impactful projects that focus on the furthering the overall mission of the organization and have also represented the organization internationally at JCI World Congresses in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and Kanazawa, Japan; JCI Conferences of the Americas in St. Louis, U.S.A and Cochabamba, Bolivia, Dominica Republic as well as JCI West Indies National Conventions in Guyana, Grenada, St. Vincent, Antigua and Barbados Projects
E-Series - The E-Series was executed mainly to motivate persons to think entrepreneurially than to be dependent on the Government for jobs. Resulted in two full time entrepreneurs.
